01/31 - Let it snow....

Balgach, the little village in the North-East of Switzerland, where we live now since 18 months after we left Germany, is covered with snow....

This week we got a lot and next week more should come... I took the chance of this sunny Sunday morning to make a two hour walk through the snow.... smoking a RyJ Churchill AT...

No more words needed, I guess pix say more than 1000 words...

01/25 - Birthday and my personal gift for me

My birthday last week was a really nice day...

I'd been at work until 3 pm, at home Tanja awaited me with a Black forrest cake (which I really love) and had a cup of coffee...in the evening we went out for dinner and as a desert we opened a bottle of Champagne and I smoked a Dunhill Mojito...

Life could be worse I think....

01/15 - 01/16 - A nice weekend with some friends from the USA

Let's start my blog in 2010... reports of this and that... the first one is about meeting some friends the US...

We met at QN Bar in Effretikon which is in the outskirts of Zurich on Friday evening.... nice location..... if there wouldn't be any live music....

The band was really aweful.... they were loud, bad and the worst: they were Austrians... hahaha

Starting with some English songs like "Country roads" etc. which made Dan feel a little like home (I have to be silent about the part when he sang and danced on the tables....).... Later on they sang German folk songs.... I don't dare to say what was worse....

But nevertheless we had a very funny and relaxed evening, with good cigars, drinks and food.... Surprisingly Tom felt ashame during some time at the evening and only watched the wall and the ceiling of the place where we sat....

Thx to Dan who gifted me a '97 Sir Winston which I really appreciated.

Saturday we met at Portmann.... Marcel picked up Dan at Kreuzlingen railstation and Dave came across the border from his hotel in Konstanz....

When I arrived there the guys hung around in the cellar between all the shelves with a handfull of Cubans on them....

We spent about 3 hours in the shop, drinking coffee, smoking cigars, having good conversation and checking tons of boxes....

It's always a nice experience if you can open a box, take a smell and decide what to take.... not depending on a box code you have told which seems to be good or not.....

At 3 am we walked to Konstanz for having some lunch that we took at the Brauhaus....

We had raisin steak which was made from a pig hock, Sauerkraut, fried potatoes and a yummy beer sauce.... attended by some German beer this was a perfect meal that everybody enjoyed....

2 hrs. later back to the lounge where we continued the smokes... some more, some less (but I promised not to pick out the non-smokers in public)

Thx here to Dave who handed me out a '95 Rafael Gonzalez Corona Extra which was a tremendous smoke....

I wanna say a big THANK YOU to Dan and Dave for spending the time with us... I for myself really enjoyed it and I'm lookin forward to our next lil herf...
