Hoyo de Monterrey Gran Pyramide Special Humidor 2004

Started it at noon... with an Caipirinha... I like that drink....

Colorado colored wrapper, fine and a little bit oily with a very pleasent smell of cedar and licorice....

The first puffs after lighting up and cutting give you an intensive impression of the flavors that first come up from the cold cigar at a perfect draw.... These taste is mixed with some decent spiceness and a little bit of sweet honey...

The second third is characterized by this basic cedar taste, added with white pepper, some bloomy notes and again some honey from time to time....

In the last third it gets some kinda fruity, like black berrys and roasted cacao... it's like a dark chocolate melting in the mouth.

I enjoyed some Caipirinha during the smoke which lasted on the whole for 2.5 (!!) hours.... to be honest I was also impressed that I smoked it such a long time....

At no point it was harsh, no tannin at all, a very good smoke which was on the light side but with very intensive flavor. Thumbs up for this cigar.
