09/15 - Business in Britain

Last week I was in Britain for three days for a business trip. After my arrival there was still some time until we could meet our first customer and so I went with our new agent to the city of London where we went to the place opposite of St. Paul's where the famous British TV chef Jamie Oliver will open his new concept restaurant soon together with the American TV chef Adam Perry-Lang.

There'll be a new restaurant with an area of 4'500 sqm / 5'382 sqare yards and a butchery with a dry aging room behind a big glass front, where the beef'll be aged for about 16 weeks. Cool idea, with a good result for the beef.... but for sure not cheap if you wanna something there....

The restaurant and the butcher's shop are integrated in a building called "The one new change" where other shops'll be located.... some of that is said to open on Monday and the rest latest until middle of October... unbelievable cuz everything there is a big construction site....

Our agent's company equipped the dry aging room with the beams and the hooks, for that reason we visited the place to check if everything is fine there.

Unfortunately Jamie wasn't there (he left the place a few hours before we arrived), but the guys there told us he swung at the hooks like a lil monkey....

After this inspection we left London by using the tube, picked up our car in the garage, which seemed to be a garage of really rich people (7 Ferraris, 3 Bentleys, 4 Aston Martin and 5 Porsches had been parked there and most of them haven´t been moved for a long time), and drove to the outskirts in the industrial area where I had my first meeting.

Thursday and Friday'd been filled with some more appointments, hopefully they lead to the success that we need with our new product that I supported during this trip.
