Upmann No. 2, 1996

It's nice to open this box and see the cigars with those really dark colorado wrappers, the only pity is that they are not oily which would make it picture-perfect. There's a decent smell of tobacco and wood....

The first puffs started with a very loose draw, it was definetly too loose for my liking. But the aromas were very good... leather, some wood... hints of mushroom-vintage flavor in the background. The cigar itself gave me a big mouthfull of creamy smoke...

During the second third the cigar is gettin stronger, not only the nicotine but also flavorwise. The aroma of leather is now very intensive, notes of polished wood, some white pepper while nose-exhalin.... and from time to time some dark chocolate.

In the last third its slowin down a bit, it's more like milk coffee and sweeter chocolate, on top of it some tary notes and again very creamy.

Overall impression of this cigar: the draw got better durin the smokin time of 90 minutes, the aromas were really intensive and this cigar is a real steam hammer.
