Diplomaticos No. 5 from 1988

Another impressin smoke... Diplomaticos is definitely one of my favorite brands.

This one has a colorado colored, silky wrapper with a decent smell of hay and licorice.

Firin up carefully, clippin the head and takin the first puff... oh wow... surprisingly easy draw but full of flavor...

The first third starts with aromas of mushrooms, old dry paper, oak and some white pepper... well balanced and really hard to describe this fantastic mixture.

At the second third some refreshing menthol's comin up... exotical spices in the foreground based on a background flavor of old paper, some wood and leather...

The last third shows the strength, this one's definetly no lightweight... leather, wood and fresh milled black pepper paired with roasted coffee and a certain creamyness...

All in all a really nice smoke which lasted for exactly one hour.
