Aberlour "In the pink" 1989

Nose: Decent smell of exotic fruits, solvent (surprising due to "only" 46 %), fresh cut grass

Taste: Oak wood, citrus, slightly mouthdrying, tannin, some liquorice

Aftertaste: Surprisingly long, getting a bit sweeter than the first mouthfeel, oak wood...

  1. Never heard of it Heiko...but guess what I was looking at today? Wurstmarkt 2011. Man, I wish I was not already taking too many days off from work. I would get a passport and get myself to Germany. I wonder what it is like some 30 years past my first visit?

  2. I'm not aware if it's a hard to find bottle... I know that I still have another one sleepin in one of my shelves... but I don't know how the availability of that stuff is at your place.
Wurstmarkt? OMG... it's been ages ago that I've been there...

  3. Heiko, just bought a bottle of Aberlour A'bunadh batch No. 44. Fantastic whisky only matured in Sherry Oloroso casks. Cask strenght, this one is 59,7 %, and the smell is one of the best I have experienced in any spirit. Try it if you have not already:-))

    1. Hi Arild,
I tried it and I really liked that sherry bomb... Definitely a good whisky!
Enjoy it with a good cigar... a BBF goes well with it imho.
