02/18 - Carnival in Altstaetten, Part I


Wow... what a blast... tonite was the so called "Tschätteri" parade in Altstätten... a parade of about 20 groups which make a special kind of music, Guggemusik.

It started at 7.45 pm, so it´s already dark and makes it way through the streets and alleys of the old village... a great atmosphere... I hope the pix can give you an impression of that... after the parade the party continued on the streets and pubs... the bands played in the street, on stages... it´s absolutely great... I met with some friends there and we all had a lot of fun...
