I'm a big fan of blond beers.... but there are also enough which are crap... the Palm's one that I won't buy again... but I'd also some real highlights... here's part I of III of this report.
The smell gives you an intensive impression of hops. Heavy smell, rich and flavorful with not too much carbonation. Pleasantly bitter and didn't taste much like the smell. The taste is very smooth for the high hops.. and it´s lacking some more intensive aroma... another average beer... not worth to hunt for.
Very fruity in the nose with mangoes, bananas, apples and a strong aroma of Belgian yeast. In the mouth you get a good dose of both: fruity and candy sugar sweetness up front with a gentle bitter finish. A hint of alcohol, but barely noticeable, bottled with an ABV of 8 %. I like it...
Lookin like a dark ale, but it´s a pale ale... a little muted in the nose compared to others I've tried. There's plenty of malt sweetness and some tropical fruit flavors. Medium bodied, creamy and smooth. The color, its sweetness and dark fruit flavours are borderline dark ale. Some slightly sour notes in the aftertaste... not too bad at all.
Smell, apart from malts and yeast, is definately dominated by hops, pine, grapefruits. Taste gives a lot of the hoppy bitterness and some slightly sweet malts. Soft and easy in the mouth, very drinkable and pleasant. ABV is 6 % in this case... not very strong.
