Punch Robusto, ER Emiratos 2008

Same size as the Regional Edition from Switzerland back in 2005 (which was re-released in Switzerland in 2007).

The colorado-colored wrapper is fine and matt, no big veins. A nice smell of leather and tobacco is coming to the nose, smells much stronger than a regular Punch...

It's very spicy right of the start... wow... that's really nice... black and white pepper, some dark roasted espresso with hints of nuts in the background.

A little change in the second third: no more nutty nor peppery flavors, they're gone completely. dark chocolate and cedar wood which's getting more and more intensive. All those flavors are based on earthy background aromas.

In the last third the earthy flavors get stronger... a very nice combo with the cedar wood aroma. Some leathery notes are joining, really strong now... the whole smoke is definitely on the strong side considering all the flavors...

Many Punch cigars get boring and bland in the end, but this one doesn't! A reason why I like it.

The smoking time was 90 minutes with an always ruler-straight burn and perfect draw.
