The Bowmore House on Islay

Looking back to our trip to Scotland... and a wonderful time that we'd during our stay at The Bowmore House on Islay (www.thebowmorehouse.co.uk) together with our hosts Alison and Andrew...

We'd been in contact for a while before... first through emails... then on Instagram and Twitter... and when we arrived it was like meeting an old friend that you haven't seen for a while...

We'd the Bowmore Suite... a wonderful room with a great view to the harbor and the distillery... the Jacksons did a great job with all the renovations... it looked good on the pix that I saw before but it was even better to see it live...

Andrew offered us that we can also have dinner there and due to the fact that we're looking forward to some local stuff we couldn't resist... and we didn't regret, Andrew did a very good job... He saw some pix of the food we enjoyed the days before our arrival which's a challenge to show that he can even do it better...

Starting the day with a full Scottish breakfast was always the best choice for those days which're filled with lots of distillery visits and even more daily drams which started already in the morning hours...

One evening we'd a seafood dinner together with some nice guys from Sweden... the food was awesome... fresh Islay oysters, catfish, crabs, fresh caught lobster... nothing more to say about that... only one thing: DELICIOUS!!

4 days after we arrived at guests at the house we left Islay and The Bowmore House as friends... it was our first stay here but I am sure it wasn't the last... we've to come back!

Good-bye Islay!
