A visit to... Glen Scotia

Of the many Campbeltown distilleries there are not much left... one of them is Glen Scotia which is run actually by 3 people producing approx. 120'000 litre of alcohol per year... not much in comparison to other big players.

I was in contact with the distillery manager in advance of our visit back in 2013 and even though the don't offer official tours (at this time of the visit they didn't have a visitor centre etc.) he agreed to give us a private tour, nice gesture. So we met in the afternoon at the agreed time and had the chance for a look behind the scenes in of the distilleries which hasn't been visited by many.

Thx for this exclusive tour, unfortunately there was no chance for a tasting... so I had a 8 yo. peated Glen Scotia at the Craigard House where we stayed for 2 nights...
